Northwest Open Racquetball

THE 43RD ANNUAL NORTHWEST OPEN is coming to Bellingham Athletic Club!

March 13-16 will have players from Washington, Oregon, California, Hawaii and British Columbia competing in divisions for ALL levels of play.  Men’s Open Singles and Doubles, as well as Women’s Open Singles and Mixed Open Doubles will have large cash prizes where you’ll see the best of the Northwest competing.

We pride ourselves on full women’s draws and great hospitality.

Also note that this year you can play in a total of three events, if the 3rd is a Mixed Doubles.  You may also enter two doubles, as long as the 2nd event is Mixed Doubles.

We’d love to see the Men’s senior events (60 and 65 years young) fill up too!

Weights for Women

Have you been at the gym a while and need some new inspiration? Do you need a starting point or a starting over point? Are you battling your body and feeling like you can’t get a good workout in? Maybe it is time to try a personal trainer. The reason we are called personal trainers is because we can cater the program specifically to you. Whether it is weight loss, injury recovery, or just extra motivation to help get you to your goals. Trainers cost between $45 and $60 per hour and can set you up on a program and send you on your own or work with you several times a week. Whatever you think you need.

Another option besides personal training is a small group training class such as Weights for Women. These classes take you throughout the weight room in a small group setting. Because the groups are small and you are working with a trainer you have the proper guidance in doing the resistance exercise that works best for you. Weights for Women takes place at the Cordata Club on Monday and Thursday mornings at 10:00 and Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 4:30 PM. The cost is $9 a class or 8 classes for $64. There are also classes at the Downtown club. Come try one out for free!

Valentine’s Day Date Night

Did you know that Valentine’s Day falls on a Friday this year? With that in mind, you won’t want to pass up this opportunity to drop the kids off at the club and spend an evening out with your sweetheart. Our night will include decorating cookies, playing a variety of themed games, splashing around in the pool, indulging in pizza, chips and juice for dinner, and wrapping up the night with popcorn and a movie. There will be no refunds after tuesday February 11th. Sign up at the Cordata Front Desk before 2/14/14.

Elite Electrical Fall Classic Results

Thank you to all of those who participated in the 2013 Elite Electric Fall Classic. We had an awesome turn out this year, 106 participants! It was a full weekend of fun, racquetball, and good food. We had prizes ranging from first place turkeys to consolation cranberry sauce. If you had a whole family playing, you could have your entire Thanksgiving Dinner taken care of. Jake Birnel took first in men’s open, and mens open doubles with his dad, Don. Eileen Dowell was the winner of Womens A’s. We
did not have any junior divisions, as all of our kiddos have moved into men’s & women’s divisions. fundraising program, see them at the presentation at the Mount Baker Theater of Warren Millers new film “Ticket to Ride”. The film will be shown Friday night November 8th at the Mt Baker Theater at 8:00pm. Hope to see you there!
