Adventure Zone!

It isn’t too late to sign up for the Adventure Zone Camp which runs August 10, 2015 through the 13, 2015. Every year we have a blast and always spend a lot of time playing games and doing crafts. We always make sure that we make it to the Birch Bay Waterslides for a day of camp! Sign up at the front desk before Thursday, August 6, 2015.

Weekend Bootcamp

You may have seen James at the front desk at either of our locations, but he is also accepting clients for both private and group personal training! He’s received his personal training certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and is currently pursuing his specialization certification in athletic performance enhancement.
James realized his passion for Fitness after overcoming multiple potentially crippling injuries with the help of his own personal trainer and physical therapist. He firmly believes anyone can attain any fitness goal with the right mind set and the right people behind them. If you have any inquiries about training with James, you can set up an appointment with him at the front desk at either location! James will also be leading a new weight loss focused bootcamp called B.E.A.S.T. (Bootcamp for Endurance And Strength Training) on Sunday mornings starting July 12th at our downtown location! Carefully chosen functional exercises performed in a high intensity circuit fashion followed by interval training has been proven to significantly prolong the body’s heightened caloric expenditure after a workout. This means much more calories burned the next day while sitting on the couch! Participants of all fitness levels are welcome and encouraged to join! So don’t be a stranger and join James at 9AM on Sunday the 13th for a workout that you will pat yourself on the back for!

Stretching Plus

Recharge your body with gentle, safe and effective stretching. Understand how to safely stretch major muscle groups and leave with a 20 minute routine. Rebound’s Dodgeball Fundraiser

BAC staff member Heather Taylor will be working with Rebound of Whatcom County’s Ray of Hope summer camp program this summer! Ray of Hope is a 7 week day camp for school aged children with emotional, behavioral, and
economic challenges. Most of the kids that Rebound serves are low income and cannot afford to come to camp on their own, and they NEED YOUR HELP! So where does dodgeball fit in to summer camp? To help raise money for scholarships, Rebound is hosting their 3rd annual Throw It! Dodge It! Give It! Dodgeball Tournament on May 30th from 10am-3pm at the Bellingham Sports Plex! All proceeds go to help send vulnerable kids in our community to Ray of Hope where they will learn social skills to healthily cope with various life traumas. Cost is $35/person ($25/students) which includes a FREE LUNCH as well as prizes for Top Finishers, Best Costume, and Best Team Name! There will also be a raffle and gifts for the players. Your entry fee goes directly toward helping send one child to camp this summer. Heather’s goal is to raise enough money to scholarship one kid’s camp tuition (that’s $1200!). Registration closes on May 20th, so be sure to register your team early to save your spot! Don’t like dodge ball but want to help sponsor a kid? You still can! Heather will also be collecting check donations if dodge ball isn’t your thing! For more info about Rebound, Ray of Hope, or to register for the Dodgeball Tournament you can visit www.reboundwc.org or you can contact Heather at 425.286.4861 or taylor.heather.r@gmail.com
