Bellingham Athletic Club will be hosting the 46th year of The Northwest Open Racquetball Tournament on March 16-19th. This is the largest tournament of the year bringing players in from all over the Northwest. We always like to give our members plenty of warning as this tournament has quite an impact on the Cordata Club. We invite you to use the Downtown Club to accommodate those of you who would like to avoid the crush of the tournament and have a relaxing weekend workout. You are invited to come to the Cordata Club to watch the intense racquetball play, but understand we have 100 players and family members rotating in and out of the club for their matches, so it is definitely not the normal relaxed weekend atmosphere. Because of the size of the tournament we need all the courts so none will be available for recreational play from Friday the 16th at 1:00pm through Sunday evening. Regular Group Exercise classes will run in the Group Exercise Studio all weekend, but Saturday Zumba and Saturday Kids Club will be cancelled. We thank all the members for your patience while we run this great event.

FUEL
Have you heard about BAC’s own nutrition program? Here is what people are saying about Fuel:
“I’d like to let you know how grateful I am for having been in your excellent program. There are valuable lessons that will be useful to me for a lifetime and I was to thank you for having been a great teacher, motivator, cheerleader and resource person for the group. Your insights have helped me to get to the point of choosing better nutrition and generally living better and feeling good every day. Im sure everyone in our group enjoyed a measure of success getting to our stated goals. I hope you will continue the program because there is so much noise and TMI out there that we need to get the fuel program to sort all of it out in a way that makes sense. Thank you SO much and we’re really blessed to have you in our gym and in our community.” -BAC Member Lilia The next Fuel is coming soon! Please contact Tina Schumacher at (360) 393 – 7777 or mtschumacher@comcast.net to answer any questions. Tina is also available to do individual consultations and is ready to help you get to your long term health and performance goals.

Yoga for CORE STRENGTH
Happy New Year! Set your intention and then stoke the fire through this yoga sequence intended to keep you on track:)
Begin the New year with a revitalized perspective! The New Year represents an opportunity to make room for new experiences and points of view. Yoga helps us shed the old ways of seeing and doing things and invites in a renewed sense of strength and vitality to take on the new challenges that are ahead, whether physical, mental or emotional. In this mini workshop, we will nourish our Resolutions with a yoga sequence for Inner Strength.
New Year, New Start! Our bodies are designed to engage in detoxification every single day, however from time to time we all need a gentle nudge in the right direction. Let’s roll out our trusted mats and allow the yoga poses to stimulate our circulatory, digestive, and lymphatic systems, helping us rid our mind and bodies of accumulated waste and toxins! The New Year is the perfect time to become our healthiest, most authentic self.
Where: Cordata Studio
When: Saturday, January 21st
Time: 10 – 11:30 a.m.
Cost: $20 for members, $30 for non-members
Please sign up (early!) at front desk (either club)
