Get your fill of dirt, rocks and roots at the Lake Padden Trail Half – a 13.1 mile TRAIL half-marathon to support the kids in our community! The dense forest around Lake Padden, (located in beautiful Bellingham, WA) gives way to a challenging and memorable course designed for intermediate to advanced runners. All proceeds will benefit Rebound of Whatcom County, a local charity dedicated to the children on the fringes of our community.

BAC Juniors Players Headed to Worlds!
We could not be prouder of two of our junior members! Hollie Scott and Jake Birnel are representing the United States on the National Junior Team in Bolivia in October, 2013. They made the junior team in their participation at Junior Nationals in June in Iowa State. Hollie placed 2nd in Girls 16 singles, while Jake claimed first place in Boys 16 singles. Both of them are great athletes and will represent us well. They are the only junior players in Washington State to make the Junior Team.
Way to go, guys! Play your best and enjoy the experience.

The 2013-2014 Racquetball Season is finally here! Kick off the season by supporting the St. Josephs Cancer Center and participating in the Wilson Hope Tournament. All proceeds will go to the cancer center. This two day tournament is a great way to get back in the swing of things; there will be door prizes, lunch, beverages, and a lot of play!
PeaceHealth Bellingham Traverse
The PeaceHealth Bellingham Traverse is a multi-sport event celebrating the life cycle of wild salmon and the natural and urban challenges of their journey. Solo, tandem and relay teams challenge themselves and one another on a rugged course that highlights the City of Bellingham’s Parks, Greenways System, bike-friendly roads, and open water opportunities for recreation. Mark your calendar for September 21, 2013!

BAC Hosts Bellingham Slam
Bellingham Athletic Club is hosting Saturday’s Bellingham Slam Basketball game against the Salem Sabres. Tickets are free at the front desk at either location. Great fun for the whole family!

Teen Connection
BAC is once again offering our summer program “Teen Connection.” This is the 5th summer we’ve opened up the club to teens between the ages of 14 and 19 to work out for free! We want to encourage our youth to experience the joy of movement, and
help guide them through the process of physical change and growth to promote a healthy relationship with their bodies. If you happen to notice some new teens using the club during our quieter hours – be sure to encourage them, and help us set a good example to motivate them to continue to want to exercise as they grow up.

BAC Adventure Zone Camp!
Looking for the best summer camp for your child to be active? Come join us for a week of fun in the sun as we provide exciting and engaging interactive programs for children ages 6-12! Our programs will encompass a variety of disciplines designed to develop five leadership skills including: communication, being a team player, decision-making, social skills, and most importantly HAVING FUN! In this interactive camp there will be guest appearances and mini clinics ran by local athletes on the Slam Basketball team and the Bell’s Baseball team, a day of bowling and if weather permits a trip to the Birch Bay Waterslides! Monday and Wednesday includes swimming from 3:30-5PM and Thursday will be a field day full of obstacle courses, organized kickball, dodge ball, water games and awards! Our mission is to provide a fun and safe learning environment for kids where they can develop life skills though group activities. Each child will receive an Adventure Zone t-shirt! Jr Racquetball Summer Camp
Don’t miss out on the annual Junior Racquetball Camp at BAC! Juniors will have a chance to learn the game and/or improve
their skills. Each camper receives a camp shirt, snacks each day, twelve hours of instruction and activities, and a mini tournament on Friday. Special Guests from our local Baseball and Basketball teams- The Bellingham Bells and The Bellingham Slam will also be making an appearance! Have a chance to challenge them on the court and nail them with a dodge ball!
