Elizabeth Thorndike

Elizabeth has always been an athlete and an advocate of health and wellness. She has been teaching and training for 17 years, in many different areas of fitness. Elizabeth earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Auburn University in 1993 and spent six years working with children, sport-specific fitness, and women’s health. In 1998, she graduated from Ashmead College’s Fitness Specialist Program, became certified by the American College of sports Medicine and opened her own business focusing on women’s health and family fitness. During her time in Seattle Elizabeth conducted educational seminars in the field of fitness and pregnancy, and worked with local pediatricians in order to create programs to combat childhood obesity. She loves variety and designs her workouts accordingly, combining elements of strength, balance, and flexibility. Most recently, Elizabeth was the founder and executive director of Treeswing, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping children and their families lead healthy lives. She currently lives in Bellingham with her husband Daniel and their daughter, Savannah.
